Benchmark Prices for Single Family Homes in 45 Ottawa Neighbourhoods
The average house price in Ottawa is $373,200 representing an average increase of 9.4 per cent in five years. The analysis of 45 real estate districts in Ottawa reveals the 10 highest increases and the 10 lowest.
At the top of the chart are Hintonburg/West Centretown, Ottawa West/Tunney’s Pasture, Westboro/Hampton Park which have jumped 27 per cent, 21 per cent, and 19 per cent respectively. At the bottom of the chart New Edinburgh/Lindenlea and Rockcliffe which have gone up 2.5 per cent and down 5.9 per cent respectively. Those neighbourhoods demographics is principally Baby Boomers and may have peaked earlier.
The light rail and the potential development of Lebreton Flats contribute to the high increase of properties in the corridor between Bronson and Woodroffe.
