Rideau Winter Trail

FREE winter trail in the city! The City of Ottawa and the NCC have funded the NEW Rideau Winter Trail for x-country skiers (classic and skate), snowshoers, fat bikers. Grooming will begin the weekend of January 18th.

The Rideau Sports Centre (RSC) will be holding a Community meeting to present the Rideau Winter Trail; learn about the trail, volunteer, or go out and enjoy.

The Battle for Sandy Hill: A neighbourhood divided

Sandy Hill is a historic neighbourhood dating back to the nineteenth century. At that time it was Ottawa’s wealthiest neighbouhood. uOttawa is a university of over 40,000 students, and enrolment is growing. Those two facts make for a battleground.
