Flooding Potential What To Do
With close to saturated soil the threat of 40-60 cm of rain in the area is not good. If you are in a threatened area DO read this article and be better prepared.

Angelina Jolie Buys:
2000 DeMille Drive
Angelina Jolie does well with Real Estate! She has just entered escrow for 2000 DeMille Drive in the Los Felix area of Los Angeles, just south of Griffith Observatory (perhaps the observatory forms part of the city view). The house was formerly owned by Cecil B DeMille. I was designed in the Beaux Arts Style. Think The Palais Garnier in Paris. That can be the topic of a future Wednesday.
Clocking in at 11,000 square feet it is a large house – but the current decor is not ostentatious quite the contrary its very warm. The master bedroom has french doors opening to the garden. Love the library and the bathroom. Beyond the room with the taupe sofas seems to be a desk with ghost chairs – great room. And the gym overlooking the pool is nice. Overlooking the pool would be a reminder of why you need to continue the workout a few more minutes: must look good by the pool.
Demolition of Yet Another Heritage Property
234 O’Connor Street
There’s a plan – it’s called the Official Plan. But I don’t think it’s worth the paper it’s printed on. The City has no respect for it. Properties are designated heritage, neighbourhoods are designated heritage and then decisions are made according to who has the deepest pockets. It’s a real shame that neighbourhoods that acquired value because of their spirit is having that spirit knocked out of it by a wrecking ball. This time 234 O’Connor Street is the victim.
I’ve seen city officials argue for hours over the merit of a building, of a feature, only to see the building torn down a few weeks later. No mater what is said the wrecking ball wins and our heritage loses.
Sad!

FinTRAC – Money Laundering Form Change
The controversial ethinicity quetsion has been removed. Either it was not on the forms we have been using or I have been ignoring that question. Well either way it is now gone.
Fabric Conservationist to the Queen
Responsible for cushions and curtains – doesn’t like such a big task until you realize there are 1000 rooms in three palaces. Would certainly be an interesting job. At $27,582 a year it doesn’t pay very well, but it is very prestigious and surely looks great on a resume. Perhaps it has room and board: room and board at Buckingham could be ok.
Applications close April 6 so don’t delay! Just to help you out here is the Job Application
