“Yes. I thought of all my LGBTQ friends. I was put in front of a big tub of tiles. I picked colors to represent all the special people I know who are LGBTQ and the ones I don’t. I thought of how I understand oppression of my gay brother I lost. Of color that makes me happy and keeps me going and I made a tile representing all this. Took me 2 weeks. The black tiles represent the darkness where I had no hope and the red blood and pain I suffered but together we are all United. I love people. Amy Beth Allan”

Shepherds of Good Hope
What a privilege it was on Sunday morning for Molly and I to join Denis Schryburt, and his team to help prepare a meal and subsequently serve that meal to the poor and the homeless at the Shepherds of Good Hope. Neither Molly nor I had ever done this! It’s quite powerful. If you have the opportunity to help out – don’t miss out. Thanks Denis for pulling us out of the comfort of our Sunday morning beds and broadening our world – and helping the one of many others.

Little Purple as it was named yesterday afternoon! But it could also be called study in red, blue, purple and gold.
