Shepherds of Good Hope
This morning at the Shepherds of Good Hope Molly and I helped Denis Shryburt prepare the meal. Typically we are chopping and then serving but today we were in the kitchen preparing chicken and potatoes (someone else did the coleslaw). It was great to cook approximately 250 pieces of chicken and a huge cauldron of potatoes for the mashed potatoes. Neither of us being morning people makes the rise a bit challenging but once were there once were done there is no feeling quite like it.
Stephen Wilkes – Time Lapse Photo – Canada 150
This single photo by Stephen Wilkes wilkes captures 20 hours of the same immage. True the festivities on the Hill this year were fraught with chaos but this one photo capturing 20 hours of of festivities is magic. You may read more about the photo here and more about Stephen Wilkes here. Seems like the real fun is looking at details in a large pic which I could not find possibly for copywright reasons.
Driverless Trucks Coming to Canada
I’m really not sure how I feel about this. Some say these autonomous trucks will be safer – others disagree. Will it make transportation of shipments more economical and reduce the cost of grocery for instance. Of course I always regret the loss of yet another type of employment putting yet more people on the unemployment line. But it seems they are coming.
What are your thoughts on driverless trucks.

Canada Science and Technology Museum
Opens November 17
The all-new Canada Science and Technology Museum opens November 17 after undergoing 3 years of renovation. And yes they did keep the crazy kitchen. But more seriously the museum is now able to display such treasures as the Eustachio Divini telescope.
The 75 metre long LED screen surrounding the entrance looks great!

Urban Echo-Village Planned for Ottawa
Soon, well 15 years soon, Ottawa will have a very green development. The Windmill Development Group has submitted a plan to the City of Ottawa for a 40 acre development. This development will be on the Domptar lands near Chaudiere Falls and Albert Islands. It will be a development where walking cycling will be preferable.
