Osgoode Properties is proposing a 30-storey tower in front of its current 13-storey building at 1171 Ambleside Drive. Alas, this will eliminate the view of the Ottawa River for many of its residents. Of course, this endeavour goes along very well with the intensification plans of the city. More here.

Cadillac Fairview floats plan for 21-storey highrise at Rideau Centre
Cadillac Fairview is considering adding a 21 storey highrise at the Rideau Centre. They would incorporate a heritage structure, the City Registry Office within its design. They’d like to move the heritage structure, which would require permission. They also seek permission with regards the number of visitors parking spaces. Details here.

Passenger service returns to Confederation Line Friday, City of Ottawa confirms
After umpteen tests, and inspections, OC Transpo has been given the green light to resume the Confederation Line LRT today. Initially with 7 trains with a plan to be back in full service by the end of the month. Read the full story here.

60 Storey Tower Proposed in Little Italy
Claridge is proposing a 60 storey tower, in Little Italy, at the northwest corner of Carling Avenue and Preston Street, across the street from the Icon their new 45 storey tower at the northeast corner. If approved the Icon, currently the talest building in the city, at 45 storeys, would be surpassed by 15 storeys by the new building.

I feel like there was something previously proposed for that corner. I want to say 3 tall buildings. I wonder what happened there!
