Love this!

Wish we were seeing more of this in the city. More renovating of existing homes as opposed to tearing down and building monster homes that do not fit in the neighbourhood; and in fact winds up destroying the spirit of the neighbourhood. Why if families are so much smaller do we need houses that are so much larger. So many mysteries! So many questions! And so few answers!

So gemstone countertops! Who knew that was a thing? The babradorite is georgeous. I do love the petrified wood! A corner with amethist. Or tigers-eye why not? I have no idea how much these cost and that could be scarry, so… If you consider this either be extravagant and expect nothing of it or consider the ultimate value of your house. Buyers may not agree that a semi-precious counter top adds value to your home.

Have you ever changed the functionality of a closet? What to?

Are you a DIY type of person or do you have things professional done?

Do it yourself projects can be fun! It’s tempting to step away from your books and your desk and build something. Ideally test your skills on something small or mobile. If your DIY yourself project is not at the scale of this desk and and part of the house it must be done to professional standards. No one wants to see DIY projects that are amateurishly done. While you’re seeing your best effort, potential buyers will see a substandard result. These renovations which you think increase the value of your home could actually devalue your home and make it harder to sell.
