I do like the look of this couple (beyond the obvious)! I also like their NYC flat. Stylish and comfortable. He is great and can never get enough of this video All of Me.

They are quite lovely and very desirable. But given the wrong set of circumstances they create a threat for your walls and floors either by facilitating splashing or spillage – the wider expanse of open space around creates the danger.

Wish we were seeing more of this in the city. More renovating of existing homes as opposed to tearing down and building monster homes that do not fit in the neighbourhood; and in fact winds up destroying the spirit of the neighbourhood. Why if families are so much smaller do we need houses that are so much larger. So many mysteries! So many questions! And so few answers!

Groovy 60’s Pad For Sale in Texas
Indeed this house for sale in Texas does seem very groovy. Love the indoor pool! In our climate if I had a pool I`d want it to be an indoor one. Otherwise too much work for too brief a season – that`s my line and I`m sticking to it. In Texas an outdoor pool would be ok but in this groovy house it`s indoors: bonus.
John Legend and Chrissy Teigen’s New York City Home
I love John Legend’s music! I can’t say I know a lot about Chrissy Teigen but they do seem to have a fun relationship. Their apartment in Manhattan is quite nice.
Creative Bookshelf Ideas
I approached this selection of bookcase ideas with hesitation. I`m a fan of the built in white bookcases on either side of the fireplace (then I argue with my daughter saying yes I`m modern (oops please don`t report back to her)). I do have the invisible bookshelf. Didn’t really have room for bookcases near in my office area. These work quite well. Oh I don’t have a lot books on these but I do and a good way to make use of the space under the window which would otherwise go unused. When you’re a maximalist creativity is necessary. Another time we`ll talk about using the tops of the radiators – inches and inches of for now unused space.
Meanwhile back to the bookcases. The greatest one, but tricky to create is number 11 the Loft bookcase.

Ethanol Ventless Fireplaces
I wasn’t familiar with these ethanol ventlesss fireplaces. First I stumbled upon Cocoon fireplaces which has some really nice models. I understand the floor model with 3 legs has been replaced with a single pedestal (that would (I hink) make it look less like you dragged the BBQ in the living room. I’ve seen other models at the bio flame and ethanol fireplace pros. They’re also available right here in town at The Fireplace Centre. What great options for those who don’t have the possibility of installing a wood burning fireplace or a gas fireplace.
What Old House Lovers See
Having in the past undertaken renovations to a house that desperately needed it – I totally relate to this article. I remember that it was hard for me to understand why others could not see it. I was told “I don’t see it, but I have confidence that if you see it will be so” And it eventually was! But it’s true it can be a lot of work.
