Wednesday, Ottawa saw it’s the first case of the coronavirus. At approximately the same time (or so it seemed to me) the WHO (World Health Organization) declared the outbreak a pandemic. Subsequently, many large scale events started to be canceled and continue to be canceled. Countries have gone into total lockdown. And now we are in another world! One we’ve never been in. Some say we are exaggerating and overreacting, others caution us that this is quite serious. I’ve heard that 30% to 70% of the population will ultimately be affected. I do know that those most in the know are paying attention and are prescribing caution. It is the route I am choosing. I encourage you to do the same. Best be too cautious than cavalier!
