Did you know that the origins of Labour Day date back to 1872 with a parade in support of the Toronto Typographical Union’s strike for a 58 hour work week?
So you don’t hit your nose on any locked doors here a list of what’s open and what’s closed.

MosaïCanada 150 – Sesquicentenial Celebrations Canada
I went to see MosaïCanada in Gatineau Sunday, it’s in Jacques-Cartier Park. My first attempt was on Saturday – parking proved to be a chalenge then finding ourselves without coins for the meter: we surrendered. Back on Sunday… I was initially taken aback by the long queue but was told by an attendant the wait would be 20 minutes – it was less than that.
It’s quite amazing to see! Great plant sculptures depicting the history of Canada.
I’m sure the artisans responsible for these beautiful topiaries will have appreciated the weather which surely will have helped in their growth.
There’s so much to take in it could be worth a second visit. Until you do enjoy my pics! I tried to pare it down but well see a couple, a few, or a bunch.
