Winderlude kicks off it’s 40th edition of winter fun in Ottawa today. The theme this year is “I love my winterlude”. Post your favourite moments with hashtag #IloveMYWinterlude.

Sharpen your skates and start planning your activities! Winterlude is coming February 2 to 19. As usual there will be a lot to do. The good news weatherwise is after mother nature broke us in with a week of -26ish anything above that feels balmy. Well you know!

I always like to watch the festivities in Times Square on New Year’s Eve. I’ll think of myself as a North American in order to bring NYC into the fold. Here options of where to live-stream. You might want to mute Mariah Carey! Then again if there’s another scandal you can saw you say it live.
