These are nice ideas! Had to select the photo with the green Cameroonian hat as I have that exact hat in my dining room. A gift by friend as I was leaving Cameroon. These ideas are quite fun, but one word of caution, I just measured, the pillow goes up 14 inches but sitting in bed you’ll reach 20 inches so beware of what you`re hanging on that wall. The traditional headboard may not be the look you`re going for but it is more practical in that it`s meant to be leaned against.

A 12-foot wide bed to save your marriage they say! Wow!

Well, I suppose if you’ve got several children and a couple of dogs this can be true. It might be true for the toss and turn as well. I’ve had a king sized bed once and did not find it conducive to a good relationship as it creates an ocean of distance

From a real estate point of view, I must say not a lot of homes today can accommodate this. Even king beds are challenging!

I have mixed feelings when it comes to feng shui. I believe in it but some of the principles can be quite chalenging to follow; I try to follow those that I can. A recent post was plants that are of benefit in the bedroom. One of these 10 principles is no plants in the bedroom.  Just after I bought all of these plants for the bedroom. Sigh!

House Beautiful presents 15 ideas for the bedroom. A couple of them might be a bit kitch.  But some are really great.  A night side table that charges your phone – is that reality or the future: that’s brilliant.  I like the mattress cover that makes adjustments to the temperature.  Love the bedside table that pulls out to become a breakfast in bed table but the clearing out of the table seems less good.

Perhaps feng shui can help you sleep better! It’s worth a try! I do find feng shui interesting and this is a good list. Some suggestions you may find difficult or impossible to implement but some of these make sense.  And fine, I’m going home tonight and will deal with the mountain of books that has been growing on my night side table.
