The great debate: keep or get rid of the bathtub. It is generally agreed that a house or condo should have a tub. If, for instance, the primary bedroom has an ensuite bath then its bathtub could be replaced with a walk-in shower and the main bathroom down the hall could have a bathtub. But what if there’s only 1 bathroom, can/should you get rid of the bathtub then? I always say no! But perhaps in a more adult building or in a one-bedroom condo the reasoning to have a bathtub to bathe children is less viable. OK so these are Architectural Digest design ideas; probably not what I would be recommending for most of my clients. But it’s Monday, we’ve been having a mixed bag of precipitation, everyone is tired of the winder, so let’s escape with 37 bathroom designs that could be, just could be, the inspiration to your next remodel.

A nice list of todo’s for the bathroom here. I like the grout and the caulking idea. The light fixture is a nice idea. I often have a broad range of older fixtures I like but clients regularly walk into a bathroom and go no. Oh and please no boob light – that’s just wrong.

Another good one not on this list is the vanity. Take a look at home depot. For $200 you can get something current. Nothing dates a bathroom like an old vanity.

So rain shower heads are falling out of favour! Can’t say I’ll miss that one. I tried it once, and after opening my umbrella thought well this is wrong. I want watter coming at me I want to be able to bring my head to the shower head but I dont want to be rained on. So in case you didn’t pick up on it I wont miss that one.

Jacuzzi Tubs – another one that one be missed! I could have told you about that one. The jets don’t age well and they are only used in our fantasy life. In reality life lets in the way and the shower is the way to go.
