Architect – Gert Wingardh – Wingårdh Arkitektkontor
Gert Wingardh was born April 26, 1951 in Skovde, Vastergotland, Sweden. He studied economics, art history, and finally architecture. He is one of Sweden’s most esteemed artchitects. He states that visiting the Pantheon in Rome made him want to become architect. Gert Wingardh’s style is described as Maximalist or Modern Baroque. As maximalist myself in my decorating style I can relate to that. He incorporates an element of surprise within the designs of his buildings. I love the shapes and the colours. He most admires Frank Llowd Wright, Hand Scharoun, Carlo Scarpa, Frank Gehry, and Peter Zumthor.
