Architect – Wang Shu / Lu Wenju
Wang Shu, is the most famous Chinese architect. He was born in Urumqi Xinjiang, China in 1963. He is the dean of the School of Architecture of the China Academy of Art. With his wife and business partner, he founded Amateur Architecture Studio a name meant to contast with: “professional, soulless architecture”. Shu is the recipient of the Pritzker Architecture Prize for 2012. Controversy arose when his wife and business partner Lu Wenju was not recognized.
