Robinson Village, Sandy Hill, Cars, Bicycles, and Pedestrians
Interesting point of view on this proposed development. A big objection in the area is the reduced number of parking spots proposed. A concern of where will the additional cars go. This is not the first development in the city to go up with a reduced number of parking spots. There’s a trend. The article proposes that perhaps we are in a transition period of reducing the number of cars. A lot of the current street redevelopments reduce the width of the streets, increase the sidewalk width, and include bicycle lanes. Perhaps we are in a transition period, and perhaps there will be growing pain, and perhaps given a few years we’ll say remember when cars were so much more present.
