According to Aljazeera.com “Eco-friendly houses are cathching on in Canada”. My reaction has to be: Really? I’m not sure most people are ready for a house which rises up from tires. Would you? Do you know anyone who has build an eco-friendly house?

Inhabitat.com is a nice website. It features articles on architecture, interiors, art, etc. I’ve found an article about “The Canopy Tower” in Hong Kong. The Canopy contains 54 luxurious duplexes that are surrounded by large private gardens. It really does seem amazing. Who’se taking care of the plants? Do the tenants? Does the building? If it is the building – and I think it shoudl does that mean you’ve regularly got someone on your balcony. Hum… less good!

Of course major renovations are always great! … but sometimes the budget does not allow for such a project. Here are a few great ideas which can freshen up a kitchen or a bathroom and leave you with some cash in the bank.

Yesterday I visisted the new Mondeau showroom at 1282 Algoma Road. A large very impressive showroom displaying an impressive selection of bathtubs, showers, sinks, faucets, and more. With so many to choose from allow for a lot of time for your visit.

I’m normally a huge fan of technology! Typically I’ve kept up with new gadgets and gismo’s, but this spring I was shocked with technologies power. My phone and my computer together conspired to steal an hour from me. Taking advantage of my slumber they both adjusted themselves to daylight savings time and left no notes of having done so. One week later when I ask friends when do we adjust the clocks I’m told “We did! Last week!” I was a bit shocked. It really felt like technology had taken over and was in charge – I was left in the dark (well in the later light really but…) it was an odd feeling. What’s your worst experience with technology? What’s your best?
