New Ontario Rules – Full Pedestrian Crossing
I thought we’d post about the new rules for pedestrian crossing this morning. After a couple of conversations with friends yesterday I can state that understanding varies.
Drivers and cyclists must stop and yield the entire roadway at: pedestrian crossovers, school crossings, and all intersections where there is a crossing guard – only when pedestrians and school crossing guards are safely on the sidewalk, can drivers and cyclists proceed. So this does not apply to regular crosswalks – with or without traffic signals or stop signs.

If you’re out and about tonight and you’ve had one too many drinks call my nephew Erik Jobin (or one of his sidekicks) to get a ride home. And hats off to him!
