I think painting or staining hardwood floors can be interesting MY suggestion is make sure that it can be undone. I had a hardwood floor stained charcoal once. It was stunning, but when it was done we made sure that it could easily be sanded back to natural from a resale point of view otherwise you’re really limiting your target audience.
