Did you know there was such a thing as the Elevator Availability Act. Well it is in the works with the government of Ontario.
The elevator at 345 Laurier Avenue East in Sandy Hill has been out since August. I can’t even imagine living in a 10 storey building with an elevator out of service since that time. Hopefully the Act will ensure that everyone steps up and this sort of situation does not happen.
