This is a sad post! Earlier this week I read that the Royal Swans would be sent to a zoo in Montreal. Sad! The upkeep has become expensive and their health difficult to maintain. As pointed out in the article – what’s the budget for the ribbons and scissors Watson uses on a daily basis. Cut that budget! (no pun intended).
Then there’s the Château! Some of you may have read my previous posts on the subject. I DO believe it would be possible to build something of our time, not a copy of what is there but something that contrasts, complements, and enhances what is there. But instead being proposed is something has nothing to do with anything. Names to be remembered those ho voted for the final proposal Councillors Dudas, Harder, El-Chantiry, Gower, Chiarelli, Blais, Hubley, and Tierney voted in favour. Councillors Leiper, Brockington, and Moffatt voted against. I don’s see Fleury on this list but he’s not in favour.
