Daylight Savings Time
Remember that tonight, at 2 a.m., precisely, your clocks need to be fast-forwarded an hour (some will do it automatically some will need your help – know the difference) for the start of daylight savings time. And so, Sunday the sun will rise earlier but set later which means that you’ll have more time to collect insects, play your round of golf, or just hang out and enjoy the light later in the evening.
We have George Hudson, an entomologist from New Zealand, and obviously an overzealous insecta collector, to thank for this practice! A practice that was first adopted in Port Arthur, Ontario in 1908.
