Wednesday, Ottawa saw it’s the first case of the coronavirus. At approximately the same time (or so it seemed to me) the WHO (World Health Organization) declared the outbreak a pandemic. Subsequently, many large scale events started to be canceled and continue to be canceled. Countries have gone into total lockdown. And now we are in another world! One we’ve never been in. Some say we are exaggerating and overreacting, others caution us that this is quite serious. I’ve heard that 30% to 70% of the population will ultimately be affected. I do know that those most in the know are paying attention and are prescribing caution. It is the route I am choosing. I encourage you to do the same. Best be too cautious than cavalier! Influenza vs Coronavirus. What`s the difference?
Perhaps with March break extended you’ll need more ideas to entertain the young ones.
Lastly as you contemplate working from home consider these working at home tips from Vogue. Number 2 is quite true! As for number 3 I enjoy a more relazed dress code at home.
In closing may I suggest handshakes be replaced with either the Korean or Japanese bow or the Thai Wai.
