Rising waters in the Ottawa River have caused flooding in the eastern and western communities of the city. The City of Ottawa is supplying sandbags to the affected areas. In addition, the City of Ottawa has declared a climate emergency, developing an Air Quality Management Plan, declaring that they will take seriously the effect of climate change on the community.
