Shepherds of Good Hope
What a privilege it was on Sunday morning for Molly and I to join Denis Schryburt, and his team to help prepare a meal and subsequently serve that meal to the poor and the homeless at the Shepherds of Good Hope. Neither Molly nor I had ever done this! It’s quite powerful. If you have the opportunity to help out – don’t miss out. Thanks Denis for pulling us out of the comfort of our Sunday morning beds and broadening our world – and helping the one of many others.

Ikea Goes Boho!
Have you been wondering what type of furniture to put on your lanai this spring and summer. Well has Ikea got a proposal for you!
If your go to look is bohemian than you’re going to love Ikea’s new Jassa collection. It’s a limited edition Southeast Asia inspired collection so don’t dilly-dally go shopping.
Improvised Parking Spot
There really are times where a parking spot or a second parking spot is required but not readily available. Not the easiest, perhaps not the most practical but he managed to find a parking spot where all there was was storage. Perhaps you too have an extra parking spot and dont realize it.
He looks very happy with himself and I’m sure he is until he realizes he forgot to buy bread and must go out again.
Architect
Antoni Gaudi
Today we feature Molly’s favourite architect, designer: Antoni Gaudi. Gaudi was a Spanish architect of the late nineteenth century. Most of his work is located in Barcelona. His most important project is the Sagrada Familia – a cathedral which was started in 1882 and is set to be finished in 2026 and is the most visited monument of all of Spain.
His work is said to be organic and natural forms. His creations are of the same period as Art Nouveau and one can certainly appreciate that yes there are curves and sometimes similar curves but not quite the same curves. Seven of his pieces have been declared World heritage Sites by UNESCO. It seems his furniture has never been produced since the originals were created and so a cool $18,000 can get you a chair.
Previously featured architects Eberhard Zeidler, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, and Le Corbusier.
Miniature Chair Collection
Perhaps this is the solution! As you know I love chairs and have a few of the iconic chairs. But having run out of floor space this might well be the way to have the others. Of course the chairs may be small but not so their value it seems.
Oh and they’re all over ebay. By tomorrow morning I must have forgotten about this post. I must forget, I must forget…
New York City Doormen
An interesting group! Not all terrible photogenic. Truly examples of discretion. The stories they could tell if they could talk, but I suspect they must sign a serious confidentiality agreement.
