Ikea – Small Spaces

807 square feet is not very large but if furnished properly can yield a surprising amount of living space. Of course in this case the doors and windows are placed as the furniture goes in but I do think that if furniture is properly thought out great use of space can be achieved.

MosaïCanada 150 – Sesquicentenial Celebrations Canada

I went to see MosaïCanada in Gatineau Sunday, it’s in Jacques-Cartier Park. My first attempt was on Saturday – parking proved to be a chalenge then finding ourselves without coins for the meter: we surrendered. Back on Sunday… I was initially taken aback by the long queue but was told by an attendant the wait would be 20 minutes – it was less than that.

It’s quite amazing to see! Great plant sculptures depicting the history of Canada.

I’m sure the artisans responsible for these beautiful topiaries will have appreciated the weather which surely will have helped in their growth.

There’s so much to take in it could be worth a second visit. Until you do enjoy my pics! I tried to pare it down but well see a couple, a few, or a bunch.

Smart Furniture for Small Places

Convertible furniture is great! As apartments get smaller and smaller it’s great to see furniture that can adapt. I love the sofas that change shape to accomadate different needs. And then there’s the stool that becomes 5. But my true favourite is the murphy beds that present a bookcase of some sort when closed which means that when they are up they are not a wide blank area.
