Colour of the Year 2018
Sherwin-Williams, Benjamin Moore, and Behr
Sherwin-Williams has announced it’s colour of the year: Oceanside. It’s quite intense! I saw it featured in the Netflix series “This is Us”. Perhaps it is on trend.
Benjamin Moore has introduced it’s colour for 2018 Caliente AF-290 it’s a great shade of red it’s quite intense also. Of Course Benjamin Moore’s colour of 2017 Shadow was quite intense also.
Behr’s colour for 2018 is In the Moment – which I feel I have been seeing. And does to me (for the moment) seem on trend.
Seems we have left behind us the pale colours such as Simply White from 2016.
(And then of course there’s the ugliest colour in the world Pantone 448C.)
Are Ocenside and Caliente on trend? I’m totally going to side on the Benjamin Moore love that shade of red? Which is your favourite.
Skating Rink Parliament Hill Ottawa
One of the last events of the our sesquicentennial will be appropriately enough on Parliament Hill. A skating rink will be open from December 7 to December 31.

The Ugliest Colour
How do you decorate with the ugliest colours. It seems possible. Pantone 448C was chosen by the Australian government to go on cigarette packaging to discourage smoking. Other colours deemed the worst are lime green, white, beige, dark gray, and mustard.
I have to say it’s impresive with these designers have done with these colours event the winner, that is to say the ugliest comes across quit nice, warm, and dramatic in some settings.
