Tony Shahrasebi, the owner of Somerset House had proposed plans for the restoration of The Somerset House, but according to this article posted by Heritage Ottawa the city no longer believes that he intends on going ahead with these plans. The city states that it will take the most aggresive route they can to force him to execute his propopsed plan or take it over! The city does not wish this building to be another demolition by neglect. Well they don’t want more of it to fall… Somerset House is featured on the National Trust for Canada’s Top 10 Endangered Places List.
