Hello! As we enter the 2nd month of this new page I thought I’d touch base with you to see how we are going! Which posts are the most interesting? Is the variety good? Is the frequency good? I never (well rarely) send out more than one post per day –but I read that some recommend no more than 1 per week: that seems very infrequent to me. Our goal is to provide informative or entertaining posts! How are we doing? Any suggestions or recommendations welcome!

Hoarding and debt load. I’m in a bit of state of shock. I was in a storage facility earlier buying boxes for my move a couple of floors up (that’s another story). And I asked the guys why are you expanding? What’s up with all of these new storage facilities sprouting up everywhere? Is there really a need? And I was told: “There’s a waiting list!”. Turns out people are using these facilities to store what’s beyond the closet, beyond the basement, and just beyond. (That’s when I fell into the nearby chair). Then with auto payment on their credit cards they sometimes forget they have things in storage. Did you know about this? What do you do with your excess stuff? Or do you keep it in control? How? Would you consider putting in storage? Help me I need enlightening I’m stunned!

Thank you Jackie for helping save a beautiful piece of architecture and history. I do hope we have evolved in heritage mindset and that we would not today destroy something amazing for something well less amazing. “As I look around in awe to the 90 year old space that I call home…”

Molly and I are now actively on twitter. I dare not, for the moment, link the 2 as I’m not sure what the repercusions on Facebook would be. But watching an episode of “The New Normal” last night where the players were consumed with social media I have to say that after 1 active day on twitter I too may be addicted. Oh my! That television with the twitter feed on the side which looked so silly a few weeks ago looks like a great option now. Did I say Oh my…. Sorry must run there are tweets to catch up on. I think Stephen Harper may be having dinner soon, I wonder what he’s eating…

As I was driving to the office this morning I was struck by two colours white and grey. And so it’s perhaps a good day to suggest this DIY wreath. All of the Christmas decorations having been put away this can bring in a little late January colour to your front door.

On this winter day that brought us everything from rain, to whiteout snow, to sun, perhaps a post to make you dream of spring.
