This home features wallpaper and bold colours. Quite nice! Quite bold!

Only do so if you plan on making it home for a long period of time as the personal choices would not present themselves well to prospective buyers. Most/many/some buyers cannot see beyond a colour. I remember showing houses to a buyer and a room was green: “I like the house but the family room is green”. “It’s just paint can easily be changed”.

Placement of Bed According to Feng Shui

I’ve posted about feng shui before. I appreciate it’s principles, though I’m not very familiar with it all. And alas I sometimes find that what would be nice to follow but not possible. Here they state the bed should face the door, but not directly. If you have the choice then do so, but in some condos I’ve seen there really can only be one place for the bed. Hope it’s a good one! Haven’t I also read about north, south, east, and west placements according to your birth month. What happens when you are two with different months?

Another principle is the placement of mirrors vis-a-vis the front door. This one I have been concerned with. I was concerned about that as I have a powder room vanity mirror facing the front door – at first I’d keep the door closed but then did some research and found if it’s beyond a certain distance all is good.

Architect – Sir Charles Barry – Part 1, 1820 to 1837

Sir Charles Barry (1795-1860) was a British architect. From 1817 to 1820 he did the Grand Tour of the Mediterranean and Middle East. Then he visited France, Italy. There he met Charles Lock Eastlake, William Kinnaird, Francis Johnson and Thomas Leverton Donaldson, with them he visited Greece and Turkey. He apprenticed with Middleton & Balley, Lambert architects. Barry favoured the Italianate architecture and designed many country houses, city mansions, and public buildings in that style. Around these mansions he would often design Italian Renaissance gardens.

Architect – Odile Decq

Odile Decq (1955-) is a French architect. She is self described of goth appearance and style. Decq started her studies at the Régionale d’Architecture de Rennes and completed them at the École nationale supérieure d’architecture de Paris-La Villette. In 1979 she founded ODBC with her husband, subsequent to his death, she renamed the firm Studio Odile Decq. Her award winning humanistic approach has earned her many prizes. In 2012 she founded the Confluence Institute. There she insists that her students find their voice in their work.
