Architecture – Virtual Tour of Vatican Museums
The Vatican have stunning virtual tours of 7 of their museums. There are several other museums but I’ve focused on those with virtual tours. The Vatican website is quite elaborate and beyond the virtual tours you can lose yourself for quite some time – not a bad idea at the moment.
Perhaps one should take moment to think of Italy as we embark on this virtual tour. Italy certainly is one of the hardest hit countries at the moment. I called a past client who lives in Italy earlier this morning. He and his family are keeping well, in good spirit, and in otherwise similar isolation to us.
The following are instructions which will allow you to get the most of your virtual visits:
On your computer – Hit the full screen (4 arrows pointing in different directions). Use your mouse or the directional arrows to move around. Use the + and – to zoom in and out.
On your phone – Hit the full screen (4 arrows pointing in different directions). Navigate with fingers. Pinch to zoom in and out.
Virtual reality – If you do have a virtual reality headset you’ll be in for quite a treat I’m sure but I have no idea how that works.
Oh and remember to look up to ceilings! Enjoy!
