Architects
Robert Venturi & Denise Scott Brown
Per my list of “25 architects you should know” contained within last week’s post of Charles & Ray Eames, this week we look at Robert Venturi and Denise Scott Brown. Venturi with his wife and partner Scott Brown founded Venturi, Scott Brown and Associates. You may not find some of their designs striking and yet they are considered major architectural figures of the twentieth century. Perhaps harder do see in photos is that they influenced how those involved with architecture shifted their way of thinking. In my mind the more recent work is most interesting.
