Architect – Shigeru Ban
Shigeru Ban is a Japanese architect. He was born in Tokyo, Japan, in 1957. Ban studied at the Tokyo University of the Arts, the Southern California Institute of Architecture, and Cooper Union’s School of Architecture. He was the Pritzker Architecture Prize Laureate for 2014. The use of cardboard and cardboard tubes have contributed to his fame, as such, he was featured in Time magazine. In addition to his use of unique materials his humanitarian contributions are noteworthy.
