Architect – Kisho Kurokawa
Kisho Kurokawa (1934-2007) was a Japanese architect. He was also one of the founders of the Metabolist Movement. This style blended architectural megastructures with those of organic biological growth. More on that later… Kurokawa studied architecture at the Kyoto University, University of Tokyo. He received an Honourary Doctorate from the University Putra Malaysia. The Metabolist Movement he cofounded was created in 1960 and dismantled in 1970. In 1962 he founded Kisho Kurokawa Architect and Associates.
