I thought we’d post about the new rules for pedestrian crossing this morning. After a couple of conversations with friends yesterday I can state that understanding varies.
Drivers and cyclists must stop and yield the entire roadway at: pedestrian crossovers, school crossings, and all intersections where there is a crossing guard – only when pedestrians and school crossing guards are safely on the sidewalk, can drivers and cyclists proceed. So this does not apply to regular crosswalks – with or without traffic signals or stop signs.
