One thing led to the next last night and I found myself looking at Art Nouveau doors. Art Nouveau was 1880-1910. Sometimes grouped into the Art Deco Style, the Art Deco style started in 1925 to 1939. Art Nouveau is organic and not generally symmetrical. The whiplash curve is a common feature. Art Deco is very geometrical. And the last picture, not quite a door but an entrance, is of a Paris Metro entrance. While in Paris with a couple of friends one looking at the entrance, which are now protected historical monuments, and says “That looks old and should be torn down”. Sigh!
