Architect – Augustus Pugin – Part 2
Earlier in his career Augustus Pugin designed furniture for Windsor Castle as well as theatrical scenery for the Royal Opera House. Briefly he developed an interest in sailing. Shipwrecked in Scottland he met an architect James Gillespie Graham, who persuaded him to turn his attention to architecture. Click here for last week’s post on Augustus Pugin.
