Architects – Wong Tung & Partners
This 5th installment of the exploration of architects from Arch Daily’s list of The 25 Tallest Buildings in the World takes us to Wong Tung & Partners. The first firm we explored was Wilkinson Eyre, the second, was Skidmore Owings Merrill. Then we looked at the work of the East China Architectural Design & Research Institue (ECADA), then the Mulia Group.
Were going to skip over Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates (KPF) as we’ve previously covered them when we looked at Starchitect William Pedersen of Kohn Pedersen Fox (KPF). That being said their contribution to this list is Suzhou IFS.
We’ve also visited with Cesar Pelli & Associates whose contribution to this list is The Petrona Towers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 1998
Wong Tung & Partners’ contribution to the list is Changsha IFS Tower T1 which you will see below. Wong Tung & Partners’ employs over 250 architectural professionals in Hong Kong and over 150 in mainland China. An excerpt from Wikipedia will lead us down another rabbit hole. “In 2013, the firm ranked 54 on the WA100 (World Architecture 100) list of largest architectural practices in the world. I’d never till this very moment heard about this list. Well, something else to explore once we’re done with this list.
