Winter & COVID-19
Many are dreading the approach of winter. Winter is bad enough on its own, but combined with a pandemic, it’s a lot to take in. When COVID-19 initially hit, it was early spring, “the trees were coming into leaf” – a quote by Philip Larkin, the weather was getting warmer, and the days longer. But now, well now, is the opposite of all of that. Of course, winter remains my fourth favorite season, but still, the anticipation of going through it within a certain form of isolation does not make one feel warm and fuzzy.
