Architect – Mario Botta
Mario Botta is a Swiss architect. Born in 1943 in Mendrisio, Switzerland, he studied at Università Iuav di Venezia. His buildings are very geometric, very sculptural. I dare say I’ve got a new favorite architect. In a sense there’s a rethinking of Brutalist architecture – which I, and I know I’m alone in that camp, really like.

Like all great architects, he has also designed furniture. You can see his line of furniture here. Can’t say I’m familiar with any but I do believe I’ve seen Stool Clessidra “Hourglass” before.
