Margee House in Hintonburg is being put on the market for sale. Asking price is 3.2 million, which apparently is land value. I had not seen the work done to stabilize it, can’t call that attractive. Very sad when a piece of history is threatened. And of what I’ve seen from the city, preserving built heritage is officially important, and yet. Sad story, as this was an important piece of history for Hingonburg, my favourite neighbourhood in the city. Let us hope a very keen buyer acquires it and wishes to restore it to its former glory.
