Ottawa East

Old Ottawa East or Ottawa East is a neighbourhood of Ottawa, Canada. It is bordered by the Rideau Canal on the west and the Rideau River on the east.  Nort is Sandy Hill south is Ottawa South. The parks include Brantwood Park and Windsor Park. Old Ottawa East is along the longest ice rink in the world in winter.  There is a very popular community centre.  Easy access to restaurants, the most famous being the Green Door.  Main Street has several trendy stores. Bicycle paths on Colonel By which is restricted to pedestrians an cyclists on Sundays in the summer..  Great mix of all ages.  Tulip Festival.   Easy access to hospitals be most significantly the Riverside Campus and the General Campus .  Home of St Paul University  in between Ottawa University and Carleton University.
