Yesterday’s Google Doodle celebrated Jane Jacobs. Jacobs was an american journalist, author, and activist. Jacobs was a Canadian and American journalist, author, and activist is best known for her influence on urban studies. She worked hard at preserving neighbourhoods. In 1996 she was awarded the Order of Canada for her writings and her commentaries on urban development.
