Let me start with – I don’t have a problem with height. I fact I quite like tall buildings. I imagine no one that will live in the shadow of a tall building would say the same thing.
The problem I want to address is the official plan. Probably not the first time, nor the last. Seems like a farce! We have an official plan then any time a request is made to build something which does not comply with the official plan and exception is made – and city council approves. Regularly and I’d want to say consistently. So what’s the point of an official plan. Of course exceptions can be made, but if they are made everytime a request is put forth. What’s the point of the plan – Oh I know to please the people bringing it forward!
