Rather than delving into the past, today, lets go to the future. Turns out this was the ultimate April Fools architecture prank, but… That being said what can the future bring that we cannot even imagine today.
So for a moment lets go along with the fantasy.
A building suspended from an asteroid! A building that floats above the ground! It could be constructed in one country and moved to another. Perhaps it would not migrate to that country permanently – it could be forever travelling.
How would you feel about parachuting down when needed? Best not be afraid of heights to consider working or living in such a building. And I have clients who object to living beyond the 10th floor – best not talk about this building with them.
