Architect – David Childs
Childs was born in 1941 in Princeton, New Jersey. He earned his master’s degree in architecture from the Yale School of Architecture in 1967. He is chairman emeritus of Skidmore, Owings, & Merrill. He is now most famous for the One World Trade Centre Building in New York City. For us he is also famous for the US Embassy on Sussex Drive.

David McClure says
Well, Claude, this is one architect whose work I do admire. I’m usually not into very modern architecture, but his buildings have the solidarity that I would expect in functional buildings. Thanks for a run through his architectural history. I’ve always admired the US Embassy in Ottawa.
